George Portz & Friends of Bluegrass

George Portz & “The Friends of Bluegrass”, are the leading acoustic music group now performing in the St. Louis area and their shows are enjoyed by all ages. They are a long time established Bluegrass Band located in Southern Illinois with members from both Illinois and Missouri. The band plays great Bluegrass, Traditional Country, Bayou/Cajun and a little bit of Gospel for your   listening pleasure. In addition, the band hosts various fiddle contests each year and will be hosting a fiddle contest in the Arcadia Valley on Saturday morning, October 19th.

Band members are George Portz, Ranger Dave Montgomery, David Dalton, Zach Hardesty, Kathie Pohlman and guest singer Brenda Cook.
